1. Introduction

Welcome to Brushed & Co. (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website [yourdomain.com] and any purchases you make. By using our site or placing an order, you accept and agree to these Terms.

2. Consumer rights & cancellation (UK distance selling)

If you are a consumer in the UK buying goods online you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods (the “cooling-off” right), unless an exception applies (e.g., bespoke or sealed hygiene items once unsealed). If we do not provide the required cancellation information at the time of sale, your right to cancel may extend.

 If you cancel, we will refund the price of the goods (subject to deductions for diminished value if the goods are used beyond what is necessary to establish their nature) and refund shipping as required by law. The refund will be issued within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods or evidence that they were returned, whichever is earlier. You may be responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless we state otherwise. 

Exceptions: Some goods/services are excluded from the 14-day right to cancel (e.g., sealed hygiene products opened after delivery, bespoke or perishable items). Where we sell such items, we will clearly state the exception in the product listing.

3. Orders & contract formation

All orders are subject to acceptance by us. When you place an order you will receive an order confirmation email. Our acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract occurs when we dispatch the goods and send you a dispatch/ship confirmation email.

4. Prices & payment

Prices shown are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. Payment is taken when the order is placed (or in some cases, at dispatch) using the checkout payment methods we display. We use secure payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). If a payment is refused or reversed, we may cancel your order and notify you.

5. Shipping & delivery estimates

We will dispatch items from [UK warehouse / CN direct] within the times shown on product pages or order confirmation. Delivery estimates (e.g., UK 3–7 working days; International 7–15 working days) are estimates only and not guaranteed. We shall not be liable for delays caused by carriers or customs. Tracking information will be provided when available.

6. Returns, refunds & faulty goods

If goods are faulty, misdescribed, or not as ordered, you are entitled to repair, replacement, or refund under UK consumer law. For change-of-mind returns within the statutory period, follow the cancellation steps above. Refunds for returned goods will be processed within 14 days of receipt or proof of return. Where the consumer is required to return goods, we will reimburse postage if the goods are faulty or not as described. 

7. Intellectual property

All content on this site (text, images, logos, product photographs) is owned or licensed by Brushed & Co. You may not copy, reproduce or use site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

8. User accounts & reviews

If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Reviews you post may be published on our site; by submitting reviews you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that content. Do not post defamatory, obscene, or infringing content — such submissions may be removed and accounts suspended.

9. Privacy & personal data

We process personal data to complete orders, provide support, and for marketing where you consent. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and retain personal information, user rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability), and contact details for data matters. You have rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act — including the right to access your personal data and to object to certain processing. 

10. Communications & marketing

By placing an order you may be subscribed to transactional emails. We will only send marketing emails if you opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.

11. Third-party links & services

Our website may contain links to third-party sites (payment processors, couriers, marketplaces). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those websites.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of the site after changes indicates your acceptance.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland / Northern Ireland if you prefer). If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in your local consumer court.
